Jakarta, Oct. 24 -- Indonesia's Food and Drug Monitoring Agency (BPOM) issued 144,863 marketing authorization numbers (NIE) for processed food during 2024-2026 and a nutrition labeling regulation, Nutri-Level, as support for food security through public protection.

BPOM Head Taruna Ikrar said here on Saturday that oversight is an important part of supporting food security, improving public health, and building trust in products circulating in Indonesia. The NIE comprise 105,354 domestic products and 39,509 imported products.

"BPOM also issued BPOM Regulation Number 10 of 2026 on Nutrition Value Information on Processed Food Labels," Ikrar said.
