Jakarta, Feb. 24 -- Indonesia's State-Owned Enterprises Management Agency (BP BUMN) appointed a slate of senior officials on Tuesday and unveiled plans to streamline more than 1,000 state firms to as few as 200-300 entities in what it called the largest corporate restructuring in the country's history.
The inauguration, led by BP BUMN Head Dony Oskaria in Jakarta, was attended by Deputy Head Tedi Bharata, Deputy Head Aminuddin Ma'ruf and executives of state-owned enterprises (SOEs).
"This inauguration marks the start of a long journey and reflects our full commitment to transforming SOE management," Dony said.
