Jakarta, June 30 -- The National Disaster Mitigation Agency (BNPB) reported that a series of forest and land fires in parts of Aceh, West Java, and Central Java caused no fatalities.

Head of BNPB's Center for Disaster Data, Information, and Communication, Abdul Muhari, stated on Tuesday that field reports confirmed no fatalities in all affected areas.

"In line with the response efforts carried out by the joint teams in the regions, no fatalities have been reported from the series of fires," he said.

Muhari explained that the series of wildfires began with a forest and land fire that burned four hectares of land in Gentan Village, Bulu Subdistrict, Sukoharjo District, Central Java, on Saturday evening (June 27).
