BNPB distributes clean water to drought-hit communities in Java
Jakarta, July 6 -- Indonesia's National Disaster Mitigation Agency (BNPB) has ensured clean water distribution to residents facing shortages amid drought in Semarang District, Central Java, and Pasuruan District, East Java.
Head of the BNPB Center for Disaster Data, Information, and Communication Abdul Muhari said that the agency had begun supplying clean water to several areas to ensure adequate access as water sources dry up.
"As we enter the dry season, we begin to see drought causing issues with clean water in several regions. Our regional offices are working to tackle the situation in coordination with village administrations," he noted in a statement received here on Monday.
