Jakarta, July 23 -- Indonesia's National Disaster Mitigation Agency (BNPB) is distributing clean water across Bogor District, West Java, as 55,602 residents from 16,291 households grapple with shortages amid drought.

Head of the BNPB Disaster Data, Information, and Communication Center Abdul Muhari noted the agency had mobilized its regional office, or BPBD, in Bogor to ensure adequate access to clean water for the public.

"BPBD personnel are working to distribute clean water to villages reeling from supply crises due to the dry season," he said in a statement received here on Thursday.
