Jakarta, Sept. 23 -- Bank Indonesia (BI) decided to hold its benchmark BI-Rate at 5.75 percent following its monthly Board of Governors Meeting (RDG) held on September 22-23, 2026.

The central bank also kept the deposit facility rate at 4.75 percent and the lending facility rate at 6.50 percent.

"This decision remains consistent with the exchange rate stabilization strategy amidst persistent external pressures, aiming to support the achievement of the inflation target of 2.5 percent-plus or minus 1 percent-in 2026 and 2027, as well as to foster sustainable economic growth," BI Governor Destry Damayanti stated here on Wednesday.
