Jakarta, Sept. 23 -- Bank Indonesia (BI) Governor Destry Damayanti stated that Indonesia's economic growth remains solid and is projected to reach between 4.9 percent and 5.7 percent in 2026.

"Indonesia's economic growth remains solid and needs to be further boosted by optimizing various sources of economic growth," Destry said following the BI Board of Governors Meeting in Jakarta on Wednesday.

She noted that household consumption remains stable, supported by substantial government fiscal stimulus, rising consumer confidence, and positive income expectations.

Investment activity has also grown steadily, primarily driven by government projects, although private sector involvement needs to be further encouraged, she added.
