Jakarta, July 22 -- The National Nutrition Agency (BGN) is working with the Attorney General's Office (AGO) to strengthen oversight of Indonesia's Free Nutritious Meals (MBG) program, an official said Wednesday.

Ketut Sumedana, BGN's deputy for monitoring and oversight, said findings from an alleged corruption case involving MBG governance would help improve the agency's supervision.

"We will use whatever investigators find to improve BGN and make it better going forward," Ketut said at the AGO's office in Jakarta.

Ketut was introduced Tuesday as BGN's new deputy for monitoring and oversight, one of five new senior officials appointed to improve MBG governance.
