Bekasi eyes China-inspired circular economy for Bantargebang
Kota Bekasi, July 1 -- The Bekasi City government in West Java Province plans to develop Bantargebang Subdistrict into a circular economy zone inspired by the transformation and success of innovation-based industries in China.
Bekasi Mayor Tri Adhianto conveyed the plan during his working visit to China to observe waste-to-energy projects (PSEL).
"We aim to learn how a company can develop from the textile industry into a business group with operations in the environmental sector," Adhianto said when contacted on Tuesday, July 30.
According to him, an example of innovation-based industry development in China can be learned from a textile manufacturer, Mizuda Group.
