Denpasar, Bali, April 20 -- A transition in seasonal weather has triggered a massive migration of bees across the Bali Mandara Toll Road in Denpasar on Sunday afternoon, Bali Natural Resources Conservation Agency (BKSDA) confirmed.

The unusual event was captured in a viral social media video, showing dozens of motorcyclists forced to an abrupt halt as a thick swarm clouded the path.

"Transitional seasons, scorching heat, and wind can trigger the migration of bee colonies to more favorable locations," Head of the Bali BKSDA Ratna Hendratmoko noted on Sunday.
