Jakarta, Sept. 29 -- Indonesia's National Alms Agency (Baznas) is building 10 temporary housing units for residents in East Manggarai and Ngada districts who were affected by the deadly earthquake that struck East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) in mid-August.

"We are building these temporary homes to provide survivors with safe and decent shelter while they await the reconstruction of their permanent homes," said Idy Muzayyad, Baznas' head of distribution, utilization, and empowerment.

In a statement received here on Tuesday, he said the assistance comprises nine temporary housing units in East Manggarai, including five in Goloijun Village, three in Satar Kampas Village, and one in Satar Punda Barat Village.
