Jakarta, April 8 -- The National Food Agency (Bapanas) has taken anticipatory measures to control food price fluctuations ahead of Eid al-Adha by strengthening supply, distribution, and price monitoring across Indonesia.
Bapanas Deputy for Food Availability and Stabilization I Gusti Ketut Astawa said the agency has been acting early to anticipate price pressures, continuing inflation control achievements during Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr.
"In May, we will face Eid al-Adha, which may increase demand. Therefore, we are taking early steps to control prices," Astawa said here on Tuesday.
