Jakarta, Aug. 23 -- The Ministry of Health has highlighted Banten Province, particularly Tangerang District, for exceeding national targets in the Free Health Check (CKG) program and tuberculosis (TB) case detection, making it a national pilot region.

According to ministry data as of August 19, 2026, CKG coverage in Banten had reached 5,934,010 people, or 100.60 percent of the target. The figure placed Banten among the top three provinces with the highest CKG coverage in Indonesia.

"Furthermore, TB case detection in this region last year reached 112 percent of the estimated caseload, with a treatment success rate of 91 percent," Deputy Minister of Health Benjamin Paulus Octavianus said on Sunday.
