Denpasar, Bali, Sept. 15 -- Bali prosecutors have sought five-year prison terms for two Indian nationals accused of masterminding an international online gambling network, while seeking four years for 33 other defendants.

Public prosecutor Ni Made N. Lumisensi told the Denpasar District Court on Tuesday that Piyush Sharma and Yash Raj Singh Gaur were legally and convincingly proven guilty.

She asked the panel to sentence Sharma and Gaur to five years in prison, with time already spent in detention deducted from their sentences.

The charges meet elements of Article 426(1)(a) of Indonesia's 2023 Criminal Code, in conjunction with the 2025 law on criminal penalties, prosecutors said.
