Denpasar, Bali, July 28 -- Prosecutors from the Denpasar District Attorney's Office in Bali have demanded a 10-year jail term for British citizen Baath Jarnail Singh, 52, over the trafficking of 1.4 kilograms of cocaine.

The sentence was read by Public Prosecutor Finna Wulandari at a hearing on Tuesday, with the agenda being the reading of the indictment.

"We demand that the panel of judges declare the defendant Baath Jarnail Singh legally and convincingly proven guilty, with a 10-year prison sentence reduced by the time the defendant has been detained," she said.
