Denpasar, Bali, April 15 -- Bali Police have foiled an attempt to distribute 1,284 ecstasy pills worth around Rp1.28 billion (US$79,000) in South Kuta, Badung District.
Bali Police Narcotics Investigation Director Senior Commissioner Radiant said officers arrested a 34-year-old suspect, identified as AB from Jember, East Java, who acted as a drug courier.
Radiant said the drugs were intended for distribution in several nightclubs and cafes.
"However, the exact locations remain unknown as the suspect was still awaiting instructions from a person identified as N," he said.
The case began with a public tip about a suspected drug transaction in Bualu Village, South Kuta.
