Jakarta, Sept. 1 -- Statistics Indonesia (BPS) reported that Bali, Banten and Yogyakarta recorded the highest occupancy rates for star-rated hotels in July 2026.

Bali posted the highest rate at 67.29 percent, followed by Banten at 58.89 percent and Yogyakarta at 58.51 percent.

"Higher occupancy was driven by increased domestic tourist mobility and accommodation demand during school holidays," BPS Deputy for Distribution and Services Statistics Ateng Hartono said here Tuesday.

The national occupancy rate for star-rated hotels reached 54.55 percent in July, up 0.26 percentage points from June and 1.75 percentage points from a year earlier.
