Denpasar, Bali, Sept. 27 -- The Bali Regional Office of the Directorate General of Tax (DGT) said expanding the tax base is one of its strategies to increase tax revenue, which reached Rp11.2 trillion (around US$608 million) as of August 2026.

"The most important factor behind this achievement is the contribution of taxpayers who have complied with their tax obligations," Head of Bali DGT, Darmawan, said on Sunday.

He explained that tax revenue grew 8.56 percent compared with the same period in 2025, reaching Rp10.3 trillion (US$559 million).

The realization in the eight months reached 51.77 percent of the 2026 target of Rp21.7 trillion (US$1,1 billion).
