Denpasar, Bali, March 20 -- I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport management in Denpasar, Bali, announced that operations have resumed after a 24-hour closure for the Nyepi or the silence holy day.
"I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport reopened operations on Friday, March 20, 2026, at 6 a.m. local time following the Nyepi observance," said the airport's Communication and Legal Division Head Gede Eka Sandi Asmadi here on Friday.
He explained that the first arriving passengers on Friday morning were from the domestic Surabaya-Denpasar route on Citilink flight QG 692, landing at 06:52 a.m. local time (WITA).
This was followed by international passengers from Hong Kong arriving on Hongkong Airlines flight HX 707 at 06:58 a.m. WITA.
