Denpasar, Bali, Feb. 24 -- I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport in Denpasar, Bali, has returned to normal operations after several flights were affected by extreme weather.
"Due to the heavy rain in the airport area on Tuesday, we confirm that airport operations are now running normally," the airport's Head of Communication and Legal Division, Gede Eka Sandi Asmadi, informed in a statement on Tuesday.
He explained that five flights were affected due to the extreme rain and strong winds in the Bali area.
Cebu Pacific flight 5J 281, en route from Manila to Denpasar, was diverted to Makassar at 12:12 local time on Tuesday. However, the flight was confirmed to have landed in Denpasar at 5:40 a.m.
