Jakarta, Oct. 9 -- The Indonesian military's (TNI's) Jakarta Military Police Command has detained an Army officer over an alleged online gambling operation at an Army housing complex in East Jakarta.

The detention follows an investigation into suspected online gambling activities at the Army Housing Complex (KPAD) in Cijantung, East Jakarta, according to TNI Spokesman Maj. Gen. Muhammad Nas.

"He was detained for questioning by the Jakarta Military Police Command at the official residence he occupied," Nas told reporters in Jakarta on Friday.

The officer, identified as Lt. Col. Arman, serves as head of intelligence at the Jakarta Permanent Garrison (Gartap 1/Jakarta).
