Jakarta, Sept. 17 -- Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture Pratikno stressed that the utilization of ancient temples must preserve their cultural heritage while also building a tourism and economic ecosystem for surrounding communities.

"This MoU truly represents an extraordinary initial commitment to preserving and revitalizing our extraordinary cultural heritage," Pratikno said here on Thursday.

Pratikno made the statement while witnessing the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on the use of Prambanan Temple, Borobudur Temple, Mendut Temple, and Pawon Temple for religious activities.
