Tangerang, Banten, Sept. 6 -- InJourney Airports recorded 209 scheduled flight cancellations at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport in Tangerang, Banten, from early Sunday because of disruptions caused by Mount Anak Krakatau's eruption.

Soekarno-Hatta Assistant Deputy for Communication and Legal Affairs Yudistiawan said the cancellations were recorded between 1:30 a.m. and 9:30 a.m. Sunday.

The 209 canceled flights comprised 160 domestic flights, 39 international flights and 10 cargo flights, he said.

Airport management will implement operational recovery measures gradually, while considering the evolving volcanic ash situation and aviation safety, Yudistiawan said.
