Jakarta, Sept. 17 -- Deputy Communication and Digital Affairs Minister Nezar Patria explained that the National Artificial Intelligence Roadmap has been designed for a five-year, or medium-term, period so that policy can adapt to technological developments and emerging risks.

According to him, the rapid pace of AI development cannot be projected using an overly long policy framework, as the quick emergence of new technologies such as generative AI shows that AI capabilities can advance beyond expectations within a short period.
