After months of delay, Pertamina's Gamsunoro safely transits Hormuz
Jakarta, June 25 -- The Gamsunoro oil tanker owned by PT Pertamina International Shipping (PIS) had successfully crossed the critical point of Strait of Hormuz safely due to a collaborative corporate emergency strategy and diplomatic efforts.
The ship successfully crossed on Wednesday (June 24) at 8:00 p.m. Western Indonesian Time after being delayed since early March 2026 due to the conflict between the United States and Iran.
Acting Corporate Secretary of PIS, Vega Pita, said in a statement on Thursday that the decision to allow the Gamsunoro to pass the area was taken following a month-long risk assessment process and intensive coordination with the Foreign Affairs Ministry.
