Jakarta, March 17 -- Indonesia's Home Affairs Minister Tito Karnavian has assured that all victims of recent floods and landslides in Aceh will receive access to temporary housing facilities.
"The existing temporary shelters are estimated by the National Disaster Mitigation Agency (BNPB) to be sufficient to accommodate evacuees currently in tents across Aceh Tamiang, Central Aceh, and East Aceh," Karnavian said on Tuesday after attending a limited meeting at the Defense Ministry.
He explained that the government has been working to provide proper housing for disaster victims in Aceh, including both permanent and temporary shelters, through various agencies and ministries, including the BNPB.
