Banda Aceh, Aceh, April 28 -- Aceh Governor Muzakir Manaf and United Arab Emirates Ambassador to Indonesia Abdulla Salem Al-Dhaheri agreed to establish a joint team to facilitate investment, trade, and aviation cooperation.

The agreement was reached during a meeting at the UAE ambassador's residence in Jakarta on Monday.

"Governor Manaf and the UAE ambassador agreed to form an investment team, which is expected to begin operations in May," Aceh provincial government spokesperson Nurlis Effendi said in a statement issued in Banda Aceh on Tuesday.

Effendi said the governor outlined a range of investment opportunities in Aceh, including oil, gas, mining, and palm oil refining for cooking oil production.
