Jakarta, Sept. 20 -- Indonesia's Ministry of Tourism has commended the country's hotels and resorts that were included in the 2026 Michelin Key list in the Global Michelin Guide, expressing hope that the recognition will further strengthen Indonesia's tourism sector.

"Let us optimize the momentum to strengthen Indonesia's position as an advanced, competitive, and sustainable world-class tourism destination," Minister of Tourism Widiyanti Putri Wardhana said in her remarks on Sunday.

Following "rigorous inspection" of over 9,000 properties worldwide, the Global Michelin Guide decided to induct 47 hotels and resorts in various regions in Indonesia into the 2026 Michelin Key list, which was published on September 18, 2026.
