Wamena, Oct. 30 -- The Jayawijaya District Administration in Papua Pegunungan Province is holding the 2026 Wamena Food Festival to promote the growth of local micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs).

Head of Jayawijaya District Atenius Murip said in Wamena on Friday that the food festival would help stimulate the growth of local MSMEs.

"The regional government appreciates the organizers for helping revitalize MSMEs in Jayawijaya District and supporting their development," Murip said during the opening of the festival organized by Hipere Entertainment.

The festival will run from October 30 to November 8, 2026, with 31 MSMEs participating in the event.
