Chad, Sept. 26 -- Chad has reaffirmed its commitment to regional stability from the rostrum of the United Nations General Assembly at its 81st session, expressing deep concern over escalating security and humanitarian challenges while issuing a firm warning against any violations of its national sovereignty.

Historic Humanitarian Pressure and Unwavering Neutrality

The plight of refugees and internally displaced persons took center stage in the official address. Since April 2023, more than one million Sudanese have crossed Chad's eastern borders fleeing conflict. Combined with other regional crises, N'Djamena now hosts over two million forcibly displaced individuals, translating to approximately one in every seventeen residents.
