India, Aug. 18 -- Kiren Rijiju blamed Congress and Rahul Gandhi for disruptions during the Monsoon Session and defended the government's response to student protests.

Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju on Tuesday criticised Congress leader Rahul Gandhi over repeated disruptions during the recently concluded Monsoon Session, while defending the government's handling of student protests and addressing controversies surrounding delimitation and the Ram Mandir donation issue.

The Monsoon Session was held from July 20 to August 13, with 19 sittings. Twelve Bills were passed by both Houses despite repeated disruptions.
