India, Aug. 22 -- BJP national president Nitin Nabin on Saturday chaired the first meeting of the party's newly appointed national office-bearers at the BJP headquarters in New Delhi, days after unveiling a major overhaul of the party's central organisation.

Former Union minister Smriti Irani, former Tripura chief minister Biplab Kumar Deb and Satish Poonia, who have been appointed national general secretaries, were among the leaders who attended the meeting.

National Vice President Baijayant Jay Panda was also present as Nabin brought together the newly constituted team for its first formal interaction following the organisational reshuffle.
