Mizoram Becomes First State to Achieve 100% Electoral Roll Digitisation Under SIR Drive
India, June 27 -- Mizoram has emerged as the first among 16 states and three Union Territories to achieve 100 per cent digitisation of enumeration forms under the Election Commission of India's ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls, completing the exercise three days ahead of the June 28 deadline.
Officials in the office of the Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) said the digitisation process was successfully completed on Thursday evening, marking a significant milestone in the nationwide voter roll revision exercise.
The enumeration drive has been underway across the state since May 30, with 1,301 Booth Level Officers (BLOs) engaged in collecting and digitising voter information.
