India, Sept. 20 -- Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Saturday launched young author and student Akriti Sharma's book Raghunath Temple, Channi Parat: Hidden Heritage of Sunderbani in Jammu, calling for renewed efforts to preserve India's civilisational memory and honour those safeguarding its cultural heritage.

Congratulating Akriti Sharma on her book, Sinha described the work as an important contribution towards connecting Jammu and Kashmir's heritage with India's shared civilisational consciousness. He highlighted the Raghunath Temple at Channi Parat as an example of the region's rich tangible heritage, noting that its construction began under Maharaja Gulab Singh and was completed under Maharaja Ranbir Singh.
