India Condemns Houthi Strikes on Saudi Arabia as Energy Security Fears Grow
India, Sept. 9 -- India has condemned the reported Houthi attacks on Saudi Arabia as "unacceptable", after the Yemen-based group allegedly targeted energy facilities and civilian infrastructure in the kingdom, injuring at least 73 people, including women and children.
Responding to a media query, Ministry of External Affairs spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal condemned the attacks on Saudi sovereign territory, particularly the reported targeting of civilian and economic facilities.
"Such attacks that undermine regional security and stability and threaten freedom of navigation in the Bab-el-Mandeb are unacceptable," Jaiswal said.
