India, May 20 -- In a major breakthrough in the Chandranath Rath murder investigation, Vinay Rai, alias Pampam Rai, a key accused allegedly involved in the conspiracy behind the killing, was arrested in Uttar Pradesh's Varanasi on Monday night, according to reports.

Rai, considered a dreaded criminal and history-sheeter, is the fifth person to be arrested in connection with the sensational murder case involving Chandranath Rath, the executive assistant to senior BJP leader and West Bengal Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari.
