India, Aug. 18 -- BJP chief Nitin Nabin has assigned key members of his revamped national team to three major 2027 poll battles, signalling an early election-focused push.

BJP national president Nitin Nabin on Tuesday appointed senior leaders Vinod Tawde, Satish Poonia and Tarun Chugh as party in-charges for Uttar Pradesh, Punjab and Gujarat respectively, assigning key members of his newly constituted national team direct responsibility for three major electoral contests in 2027.

Tawde was appointed in-charge of Uttar Pradesh, with Jagdish Ishwarbhai Patel named co-in-charge. Poonia was given charge of Punjab, while Chugh was assigned Gujarat.
