'Vote Theft, Government Theft, Now Party Theft': Rahul Gandhi Attacks BJP, ECI Over TMC Row
India, Sept. 18 -- Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Friday criticised the BJP and Election Commission of India (ECI) over the escalating dispute within the Trinamool Congress, after the poll panel temporarily froze the party's name and reserved election symbol ahead of the West Bengal Assembly bypolls.
In a post on X, the Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha drew parallels with the earlier organisational disputes involving the Shiv Sena and Nationalist Congress Party (NCP), alleging that a similar pattern was now unfolding with the TMC.
"First Shiv Sena, then NCP and now Trinamool Congress," Gandhi said.
