Srilanka, Oct. 13 -- Blocks 1 and 2 of Yala National Park, which were closed due to dry weather conditions, are scheduled to reopen to tourists on October 16.

The two blocks were closed from September 14 due to severe dry weather, to ensure the safety of wildlife and facilitate repairs to the park's road network.

Meanwhile, reservations for tourist lodges and campsites will be available from November 1, following the reopening of the park to visitors.
