Sri Lanka, April 4 -- The National Water Supply and Drainage Board (NWSDB) has decided to reduce the duration of the scheduled water cut to 12 hours.

Accordingly, the water supply to Homagama will be suspended tomorrow (April 5) from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. under the second phase of the schedule, the Water Board stated.

Earlier it was announced that the duration of the scheduled water cuts in Padukka, Homagama, Pelanwatta and Pannipitiya will be reduced to between eight and 12 hours starting tomorrow (April 5).

This was after the National Water Supply and Drainage Board decided to suspend water supply for 24-hours once every four days to these areas due to prevailing dry weather conditions.
