Srilanka, Aug. 21 -- The late veteran Buddhist monk, award-winning lyricist and author, Ven. Rambukana Siddhartha Thero, was laid to rest at Dehiwala Sri Saranankara Grounds this evening (21).



The cremation ceremony of Ven. Rambukana Siddhartha Thero, who touched the hearts of listeners through his meaningful lyric compositions, commenced at 3.00 p.m. today (21).



The Venerable Thero passed away on 18 August at the age of 76.



His remains were placed at the Wellawatte Sri Sudharmarama Temple on 19 August, allowing the public to pay their last respects.



This afternoon, the remains were taken in a procession to the Dehiwala Sri Saranankara Grounds, where the cremation ceremony was held.
