Bangladesh, Sept. 30 -- Central Tokyo has recorded its longest continuous spell of rainy days since records began, with the streak reaching 34 days on September 29, according to the Japan Meteorological Agency (JMA).

The previous record was 33 days, set in June and July 2019, since JMA started keeping records in 1886.

The current streak began on August 27 with 5 mm of rain. Although many days since then have seen only light showers, two typhoons brought heavy downpours in September.
