Sri Lanka's 4x100m relay team sets new national record at Asian Relay Championships
Srilanka, June 21 -- Sri Lanka's men's 4x100m relay team established a new national record at the 2026 Asian Relay Championships in China, clocking an impressive 38.63 seconds.
The record-breaking quartet comprised Deneth Weeraratne, Chamod Yodasinghe, Chalith Piyumal and Meron Wijesinghe.
The quartet broke the previous record of 39.08 seconds set by the Sri Lankan team during the 2018 Commonwealth Games in Gold Coast.
Meanwhile, Sri Lanka won the Bronze medal in the men's 4x400m event at the Asian Relay Championship.
