Sri Lanka provides USD 1 million in humanitarian assistance to Nepal
Srilanka, Sept. 9 -- Sri Lanka has provided USD 1 million in humanitarian assistance to Nepal following the Bhote Koshi River floods on August 26, 2026, which caused significant loss of life and widespread damage in Rasuwa, Nuwakot, Dhading and several other districts.
In fulfilment of the commitment made by the Government of Sri Lanka, under the direction of President Anura Kumara Disanayaka, to extend support to Nepal, Ambassador of Sri Lanka Ruwanthi Delpitiya today handed over a financial contribution of USD 1 million to the Government of Nepal, the Embassy of Sri Lanka in Kathmandu said.
