Srilanka, Oct. 15 -- The representatives of the State Oil Company of the Republic of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) and Sri Lanka's foreign minister Vijitha Herath have discussed prospects for cooperation in the field of energy today on the sidelines of the 7th CICA Summit in Baku.

According to a press release, on 15 October 2026, SOCAR President Rovshan Najaf met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Employment and Tourism of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka.
