Srilanka, Oct. 15 -- Discussions on further strengthening bilateral relations between Sri Lanka and China and expanding cooperation in support of Sri Lanka's economic development have been held at the Ministry of Finance.

The meeting was held yesterday (14) between Ambassador of the People's Republic of China to Sri Lanka, Wei Huaxiang and Minister of Labour and Deputy Minister of Finance and Planning, Dr. Anil Jayantha Fernando, the Ministry of Finance, Planning and Economic Development said in a statement.

During the meeting, both parties exchanged views on the support China could extend to strengthen Sri Lanka's economy and on potential areas for further expanding economic cooperation between the two countries.
