Srilanka, Nov. 3 -- A Special National Dengue Prevention Week has been declared from November 9 to 14, covering 74 high-risk Medical Officer of Health (MOH) areas across the country.

The programme has been organised in view of prevailing weather patterns, dengue entomological indicators and trends in reported dengue cases over the recent period.

According to the Ministry of Health, the campaign was initially scheduled to take place from November 2 to 7. However, it was postponed to November 9-14 due to adverse weather conditions affecting the country.
