Sri Lanka, April 2 -- A special operations committee has been appointed to monitor and manage the ongoing drinking water shortage by the Chairman and General Manager of the National Water Supply and Drainage Board.
The move comes in response to rapidly depleting water sources caused by the prevailing dry weather and the reduction in production capacity. The committee, composed of relevant officials, is tasked with overseeing water distribution, as well as ensuring effective management of limited resources.
