Srilanka, Sept. 16 -- Shiranthi Rajapaksa, the wife of former President Mahinda Rajapaksa has been directed to appear before the Police Financial Crimes Investigation Division (FCID) on September 24 to provide a statement regarding the Siriliya Saviya account, police have clarified.



Police said the FCID has resumed investigations into the account and that a notice was issued requesting her presence on September 24.



The notice was initially delivered to her residence, Carlton House in Tangalle. However, she was reportedly receiving treatment at a private hospital in Colombo at the time.



After completing her treatment yesterday, Shiranthi Rajapaksa travelled directly from the hospital to Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA)...
