Srilanka, Oct. 16 -- The medical report submitted by the Colombo National Hospital to the Colombo Chief Magistrate's Court indicates that former First Lady Shiranthi Rajapaksa requires a heart bypass surgery.

The medical report on Shiranthi Rajapaksa, who is currently in remand custody as a suspect in connection with the incident in which the National Savings Bank provided Rs. 10 million to the "Siriliya Saviya" organisation, was submitted to the Colombo Magistrate's Court today.

This was revealed when the case was taken up before Colombo Chief Magistrate Asanga S. Bodaragama today (16), Ada Derana reporter said.
